PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland Pilots women's soccer seniors Ellie Boon and Hanna de Haan have been invited to preseason training with the Portland Thorns and Seattle Reign, respectively, which begins on Monday. Boon and de Haan join the long list of Portland alums already playing in the NWSL.
"I'm excited for this opportunity," Boon said. "To think that I have the chance to play with some of the best players in the country, even the world is hard to wrap your head around. I have always looked up to players at Portland, especially Sinc and Kendall. It will be fun to actually have the chance to play with them, not to mention the National Team players that I have had as role models for years.
