2018: A Record Setting Year for Women’s Cross Country

PORTLAND, Ore. --- It was a historic season for the Portland Pilots women's cross country team, as the team produced record breaking performances and posted their best ever finish the 2018 NCAA XC Championships. Climbing the USTFCCCA rankings for the majority of the season, the team continued to solidify themselves in the Portland record books as one of the best teams to form under head coach Ian Solof.

Seniors Lauren LaRocco and Taryn Rawlings, and junior Aoibhe Richardson highlighted the season as individuals earning All-West Region honors during their fifth place finish at the West Regional. LaRocco would then go on to post the best ever individual finish at the NCAA Championships, and earn her sixth overall All-American honor, alongside Rawlings who earned her first XC All-American honor.
