The past seven days have been among the busiest ever for poker players calling the United Kingdom and Ireland home, with several live events events running and the World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) kicking off, too.
Terry Jordon's victory in the inaugural Pokerfest Live Main Event, a tournament that broke the UK attendance record for a £330 buy-in event, kicked off what was a fantastic week of live poker action for the UK and Ireland. Jordon, who a few days earlier won a £330 buy-in pot-limit Omaha tournament, took down the Main Event for £52,000 plus a £7,500 bonus for holding multiple "golden chips" and two WPT UK £2,200 Main Event seats.
