Poker players in New Jersey turned out in big numbers this weekend, with just about every major tournament with at least a $10,000 prize pool shattering its advertised guarantee for the first time in recent memory. Chances are it was because many players returned after an action-packed summer at the 2015 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
New Jersey's "Donate_here" scored this week's biggest prize in the Garden State, winning the partypoker NJ/BorgataPoker.com $50,000 Guarantee for $10,064. With 272 runners generating a $50,320 prize pool, it marked the first time this summer the tournament exceeded the guaranteed prize pool.
