Ivey missed the first few WSOPs due to not being born and then skipped a few due to infancy, childhood and general pubescence.
After Ivey became a poker icon, he also missed the entire 2011 WSOP in solidarity with the victims of Black Friday, stating that “I do not believe it is fair that I compete when others cannot.
