A field of 159 players bought in for $10,300 and created a $1,590,000 prize pool. This princely sum is being shared by the top 20 finishers, with the eventual champion taking home an impressive $313,907.
Dario Sammartino was the unfortunate soul who popped the all-important money bubble, his 21st place finish locking up at least $20,493 for the surviving players. Such luminaries as Thomas Muehloecker, Joakim Andersson, Anatoly Filatov, and David Peters finished inside the money places, Peters falling in tenth to set the final table.
