The $109 buy-in Sunday Party is the new flagship weekly tournament at PartyPoker, and has been since its launch in February when PartyPoker revamped its online poker tournament schedule. The Sunday Party hit its $150,000 guarantee during its first week, but then saw an overlay in the following two weeks. PartyPoker decided to boost the guarantee to $200,000 on February 26 despite those overlays, and was rewarded by 2,014 players turning out, and creating a $201,400 prize pool! Build it and they shall come, as they say.
The top 351 finishers won a slice of $107,000 from the main prize pool, with the remaining $107,000 divided up and placed on the heads of each entrant in the form of a progressive bounty.
