On Thursday, "Luckyduck" became the newest champion in the Borgata Spring Poker Open Online Series after defeating Ari "spinach_kale" Engel heads-up and topping a field of 59 entries to win Event #10 High: $10,000 GTD PLO8 for $4,425. By doing so, he denied Engel his second victory of the series after he had taken down PLO 6-Max event.
The event marked the second HIGH stakes PLO tournament but first PLO8 Hi-Lo and it only began with eight players. Eventually, the tournament gradually gained more players up until registration closed in Level 19.
