The 888poker XL Inferno #7 - $30,000 8-Max was the biggest of the three XL Winter events on Saturday with 340 entries ponying up the $109 buy-in. This generated a $34,000 prize pool to crush the $30,000 guarantee.
Half of the eight max final table players were waving Russian flags but after nearly 8 1/2 hours of play, it was a player represented without a country flag at all at 888poker in "maestro1908" that found the winner's circle to claim the $6,630 top prize.
Two Russian players did manage to make it to the podium in this event with "moderator88" taking second place for $4,930 and "Fivebetgamer" snagging the Bronze medal for $3,740.
