49ers Grades For Jimmy Garoppolo, Richard Sherman, George Kittle & Tevin Coleman Vs. Bucs In Week 1

49ers Grades from their 31-17 win over the Buccaneers covers all three phases of the game. Jimmy Garoppolo made his first regular start since tearing his ACL last season and the results were mixed with plenty of good and some not so good including a pick-six interception. Overall, Garoppolo finished with 167 yards passing and a touchdown, although he had 2 TDs called back due to penalties. The 49ers running game never got going as Tevin Coleman had just 23 yards on 6 carries. It got worse when Coleman left the game with an ankle injury. 49ers Report host Thomas Mott hands out grades for the 49ers after their Week 1 win in the 2019 NFL season. Jimmy G’s top target George Kittle had a nice day with 8 receptions for 54 yards as he picked up right where he left off in 2018. The 49ers WRs were not as successful as the position group struggled including Deebo Samuel who had just 17 yards on 3 catches and fumbled as well. Is there cause for concern for the 49ers WRs? San Francisco 49ers highlights from their first regular season game of the 2019 NFL season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 49ers beat the Bucs Jimmy Garoppolo bounced back from a second quarter pick-six against the Bucs by throwing 1 touchdown in the first half to lead the team to their first win of the 49ers 2019 season. Richard Sherman proved he still has some play left in him after picking off Jameis Winston and taking it back for a touchdown in the 3rd quarter. Before the Tevin Coleman injury, the new 49ers running back had a big 31-yard catch in the 2nd quarter to set up a Robbie Gould field goal. Mark Nzeocha also picked off Jameis Winston proving the new 49ers defense is a legitimate threat. The Niners impressed on the defensive side of the ball even without star Kwon Alexander who was ejected late in the 1st quarter after getting into a scuffle with his former team. Nick Bosa and Dee Ford both impressed in their 49ers debuts with a sack each as well. The Kansas City Chiefs 53-man roster is settled, at least for the most part as they made their final preseason roster cuts. News broke that Andy Reid and the Chiefs are signing veteran RB LeSean McCoy who played under Reid in Philadelphia for 4 seasons. How does that affect the RB Depth Chart? The Chiefs also made a few trades before the roster cut deadline as they traded fellow veteran RB Carlos Hyde to the Texans for OL Martinas Rankin. CB Mark FIelds also got moved to Detroit.
