While the Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones could still make a move or two in NFL Free Agency, this is mostly focused on the NFL Draft. These are draft needs for the Cowboys, although the Cowboys free agent moves they aren’t really in desperate need of any one position. The Cowboys draft needs are really broken up into a few different tiers. There are the top remaining needs, featuring Safety, Defensive Tackle and Defensive End, where the right player early could start or at least be a key contributor. Running Back is almost it’s own tier, where the Cowboys have Ezekiel Elliott, but badly need depth. Then it’s the depth tier for Jason Garrett’s squad. Wide Receiver, Tight End, Offensive Tackle, Cornerback and maybe Linebacker are all in good shape for the 2019 NFL season. But looking ahead to 2020, there’s uncertainty. So, finding players who can help a little bit in Year 1, and possibly become starters in Year 2, makes a lot of sense for Jerry Jones. Beyond those main needs, kicker and quarterback could get some attention, but that feels a bit unlikely.
