The 2019 NFL Draft is 2 weeks away and the Cowboys pre-draft visits tracker shows that Dallas has met with 28 of its 30 pre-draft visitors prior to the Cowboys draft. Dallas does not have a first-round pick in the 2019 draft, so most of these Cowboys prospects have late first-round to second-round projections. Cowboys Report host Tom Downey breaks down each of the Cowboys’ 28 pre-draft visits so far. The Cowboys team needs consist of S, DL, RB, WR & TE. Safety is the Cowboys biggest draft need and Dallas met with top draft prospects Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Johnathan Abram, Taylor Rapp & Juan Thornhill. Dallas signed DeMarcus Lawrence to a contract extension and traded for Robert Quinn, but the Cowboys need defensive line help. The top DL prospects from the Cowboys pre-draft visits include Christian Miller, Gerald Willis & Jaylon Ferguson. The Cowboys need a backup RB to pair with Ezekiel Elliott, so they met with RBs Damien Harris and Mike Weber. The Cowboys could use weapons to help Dak Prescott in the passing game, so they met with WRs Deebo Samuel, Emanuel Hall & Mecole Hardman. Even though Jason Witten came out of retirement, TE is still a need for the Cowboys and prospects such as Jace Sternberger or Dawson Knox could help solidify that position.
