Steelers Trade QB Joshua Dobbs To Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars are adding QB help after Nick Foles' shoulder injury. They've traded for Pittsburgh Steelers backup QB Joshua Dobbs.

The Jags are sending a 5th round pick (in 2020) to the Steelers for Dobbs.

Gardner Minshew is still likely to start for Jacksonville, since he impressed in Week 1 and actually knows the offense. But it won't take long for Dobbs to get up to speed and he will at least provided a needed backup option. 

The Steelers are fine at QB, with Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph at QB.

Foles is heading to IR, so the Jags won't need to clear a roster spot beyond that to add Dobbs.
