With fans calling for Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin to be fired following another embarrassing home loss, former offensive coordinator Bruce Arians wants Tomlin to go out on his own and start fresh elsewhere in the NFL.
That’s a message that some former Steelers players have shared in the past, too.
But Arians also says he wouldn’t want to be the coordinators in Pittsburgh right now, simply because they won’t be back next season. Speaking from experience, Arians said offensive coordinator Arthur Smith and defensive coordinator Teryl Austin’s time is running out.
“I would not wanna be either one of the coordinators ’cause you’re not coming back next year, for sure,” Arians said Tuesday on The Pat McAfee Show, according to video via the show’s YouTube page.
