One week after stating that he didn’t think the DK Metcalf suspension would play much of a factor for the Pittsburgh Steelers and that Aaron Rodgers would deal with it just fine in the final two weeks of the regular season, Good Morning Football’s Kyle Brandt is singing a different tune.
Without Metcalf, the Steelers and Rodgers struggled mightily on offense, and the end-of-game sequence from the Cleveland 7-yard line was rather ugly, resulting in three straight targets for wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, all of which fell incomplete.
Turns out, the Steelers needed Metcalf in a big way on Sunday, especially on the final play of the game when Rodgers targeted Valdes-Scantling on a jump ball in the back of the end zone with Browns Pro Bowl cornerback Denzel Ward in coverage.
