The WPIAL football season fully kicked off with Week 1 games this past week. This was the first week of games scheduled by the WPIAL and – credit where it is due – the WPIAL’s new scheduling format delivered. Not only were there a number of historic rivalries or former conference opponents facing off, but FIVE games went to overtime. Hopewell got off the shined, ending a 12-game losing streak which was the third-longest in the WPIAL. On this week’s episode of the WPIAL Blitz Show, we interviewed Mars Head Coach Eric Kasperowicz who is off to a 2-0 start in his new gig.
