When J.J. Watt became a free agent ahead of the 2021 season, his goal wasn’t to sign with the Arizona Cardinals. But it wasn’t to join T.J. Watt in Pittsburgh either. Instead, his preference was to go back home.
Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show Wednesday, Watt offered a crystal-clear outlook of his free agency plans after the Houston Texans released him.
“I wanted to play for the Packers in free agency,” Watt told the show. “I wanted to go to Green Bay. They were not interested.”
