Why was Roman Wilson a healthy scratch against the Ravens?
The Steelers dressed Adam Thielen and Marquez Valdes-Scantling at wide receiver yesterday, but they did so at Roman Wilson’s expense. Nobody asked HC Mike Tomlin after the game why he chose to sit Wilson, specifically, but it’s worth asking. Every other receiver who plays on offense dressed aside from him, including Scotty Miller, though Ke’Shawn Williams sat, too.
Now, reporters did ask if Tomlin said Roman Wilson because of the veteran wide receivers they required. That was obvious, though, and we didn’t need official word on that.
