T.J. Watt has long been one of the most dominant pass rushers in the NFL. He’s been the Pittsburgh Steelers’ best player, which is why he got a healthy extension this offseason. That’s in spite of Watt having a quieter end to 2024. He was still great, but he only posted 11.5 sacks, his lowest total in a healthy season since he was a rookie. Despite that, former NFL offensive lineman Kyle Long is predicting Watt to be elite in 2025.
“Because similar to a guy like Joe Thuney, even if T.J. Watt loses a step and he’s not as quick, or as strong, or as fast as he once was, the guy’s situational awareness is unmatched,” Long said recently on his Pushing the Pile podcast.
