A few plays after what appeared to be a killer red zone fumble from tight end Darnell Washington, Pittsburgh Steelers safety Kyle Dugger came through in the clutch for the Black and Gold.
With the Detroit Lions pinned deep after recovering Washington’s fumble, the Steelers defense stepped up in a major way. Forcing two incompletions from quarterback Jared Goff from his own end zone on the first two plays, the Steelers dialed up a blitz on third down and got home to Goff for the two points and a 12-10 lead.
