Just when it looked like things were going to go from bad to worse for the Pittsburgh Steelers, a pair of unheralded players combined to make a potentially game-changing play against the Cleveland Browns Sunday.
Little-used defensive lineman Logan Lee tipped a Shedeur Sanders pass at the line of scrimmage, leading to rookie outside linebacker Jack Sawyer picking off the pass and returning it 27 yards to set up the Steelers with good field position.
Unfortunately, the Steelers offense wasted the opportunity, turning the ball over on downs after a failed 4th and 1 deep shot to wide receiver Scotty Miller, but it doesn’t take away from the plays that Lee and Sawyer made for the interception.
