Just when it looked like the Seattle Seahawks were going to convert on another 4th and 1 and take advantage of a banged-up defense of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cameron Heyward and Nick Herbig combined for a big play. And it led to a touchdown pass Aaron Rodgers to DK Metcalf, giving the Steelers a late second-half lead.
Staring down a 4th and 1 with three rookies along the defensive front on the field in Jack Sawyer, Yahya Black and Carson Bruener, it was Heyward that came up big, getting quick pressure on play-action against Seattle’s Sam Darnold, tipping the ball into the air into the waiting arms of Herbig, who raced down to the Seattle 21-yard-line, giving the Steelers great field position.
