ALTOONA, Pa. -- From the moment James Franklin announced that Drew Allar would be the backup quarterback -- on the afternoon of Aug. 29 -- one thing became pretty apparent right then and there:
Christian Veilleux would be entering the transfer portal at some point.
Well, that point finally came Tuesday afternoon for the redshirt freshman quarterback from Ottawa.
Allar, a true freshman, has all the makings of a college star and will take over as Penn State's starter next year, after backing up Sean Clifford this season.
