Trey Edmunds ‘Staying Level-Headed’ After Emotional Opportunity To Play On Offense

Trey Edmunds is the oldest son of Ferrell Edmunds, a former Pro Bowl tight end. He was the first of the three brothers to make it into the NFL, and he’s had the hardest road, at the running back position. Coming in as an undrafted free agent, signed by the New Orleans Saints, he carved out a role on special teams, but amounted to just nine carries on the season.

After he failed to make the 53-man roster in his second season, the Pittsburgh Steelers—who had just drafted the middle brother, safety Terrell Edmunds, in the first round last year—signed him to their practice squad.
