Tre Flowers expected to have a normal Christmas, although he wasn’t expecting to be on an NFL roster this time around. That changed when the Steelers called him as he was wrapping presents.
“It was Christmas Eve, trying to beat my daughters getting up so they could see stuff under the tree, and that’s how it happened,” Flowers said Friday via Steelers.com. “I gotta spend Christmas with my kids, so I got my wife and kids up here [in Pittsburgh]. It’s a blessing.”
The Steelers’ present to Flowers was a spot on their 53-man roster, even this late in the season.
