The newest technology in monitors, E Ink has been used for years to power the screens of e-readers like Amazon’s Kindle. But now this innovative tech is making waves in the monitor world because it can deliver high resolution images at a fraction of the price of other types of displays.
E Ink is made up with organic materials and works by using an electrostatic charge to attract black particles onto white paper. When no voltage is applied, these particles scatter randomly across the surface, which then reflects light when lit from behind – just like ink on paper would do when you hold it up to a light bulb.
