DK Metcalf got suspended for the final two games of the regular season. He made a poor decision, and not only did it cost him, but it could cost the Pittsburgh Steelers as well. When Metcalf got suspended, they still hadn’t locked up the AFC North. Now, they’ve failed to beat the Cleveland Browns. That’s put the Steelers’ playoff hopes in jeopardy. Former NFL quarterback Tony Romo, who was on the call for the Steelers-Browns game, thinks Pittsburgh likely would have wrapped up the AFC North on Sunday had Metcalf played in Cleveland.
“Pittsburgh probably wins this game if DK Metcalf is out there because the coverage that you see, they press on the outside with no safety help,” Romo said after the Steelers’ 13-6 loss on CBS Sports HQ.
