The Steelers used their bye week to get healthier, and head coach Mike Tomlin used the down time to provide some clarity.
The Steelers, who own a one-game lead for the first AFC wild card, control their own destiny and don’t have to worry about any other teams, aside from the one they’re playing this week.
“The bye gives you an opportunity to take a look back and look at the big picture and watch others compete,” Tomlin said. “As we met [Monday] we all came to the conclusion that we don’t need to look outside the stadiums we’re in at this juncture.
