The Pittsburgh Steelers have tons of speed in their WR room, but speed and separation are two different things. Adam Thielen, at 35 years old, isn’t nearly as fast as DK Metcalf, Roman Wilson, or Calvin Austin III, but his savvy route running may result in open receiving windows more quicker than any of them. Mike Tomlin explained why he’s excited to include Thielen in their offense starting this week.
“He’s a been-there, done-that guy. He’s got some measurables, maybe that some others in our position group don’t have, and so he rounds out the group from a different talent or skill-set perspective,” Tomlin said via Bob Labriola on Steelers.
