For the first two weeks of the season, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ defense looked rough. While they didn’t look completely fixed in Week 3, they had a better day overall. That included getting more pressure on the quarterback. The Steelers sacked New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye five times. That’s a vast improvement over the three total sacks in two games they had previously. T.J. Watt revealed that the Steelers’ defense had an idea early on that they could get after Maye.
“We just knew early on in the game that [Maye] had trouble diagnosing coverages,” Watt said Monday via Chris Adamski of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review on Twitter.
