Reportedly dealing with cracked ribs the last time the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs matchup up inside Arrowhead Stadium on Dec. 26, star outside linebacker and unanimous All-Pro T.J. Watt was less than 100% and was largely a non-factor, playing just 38 snaps (55.1%) in the 36-10 loss.
Now, three weeks later, after tying the NFL’s single-season sacks record previously held by New York Giants’ Hall of Famer Michael Strahan, Watt is feeling much better and is itching to get after Chiefs’ star quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the Wild Card matchup Sunday night at 8:15 p.m.
Speaking with reporters Friday following practice, Watt stated he’s feeling “a good amount better” and wants to make an impact, giving the Steelers a chance.
