The Pittsburgh Steelers needed a boost in the passing game to help unlock not only quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver DK Metcalf, but open up things for the offense in general.
So, they turned to recently claimed Adam Thielen and practice squad elevation Marquez Valdes-Scantling for a boost. While neither did anything of note during the Week 14 win over the Baltimore Ravens, their presences were felt by the Steelers offense, not only during the week of preparation, but during the game as well.
Those two veterans earned praise from head coach Mike Tomlin Tuesday. It seems like they’ll be part of the game plan moving forward, too.
