The Steelers’ dramatic push into the postseason hasn’t changed the expectation in Pittsburgh—win in January. That reality was underscored by ESPN’s Joe Buck, who was blunt when asked if the season would be considered a success without a playoff victory.
“No, I think they’ve gotta get a win tonight,” Buck said Monday via ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike. “They haven’t won a postseason playoff game since the 2016 season, and I think they demand and expect more here in Pittsburgh. So I think the short answer is no.”
Buck spent time with people in Pittsburgh’s building this week to have a pretty firm understanding of the attitude toward this game.
