When offensive tackle Mike Adams was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2012, it fulfilled his childhood dream of joining the team that he grew up rooting for. However, a failed drug test at the NFL Combine nearly ruined everything. Adams joined The 330 Sports Show this week to discuss his life and career and he detailed what happened after the failed drug test.
Adams said that he expected to pass the drug test at the NFL Combine after he had stayed clean for many weeks during his training in Arizona. The day after his pro day, Adams got a letter from the NFL that he had failed the drug test for marijuana as his sample was over the limit by two nanograms.
