The Steelers offense hopes its 40-point output is a springboard to better production ahead

The Steelers not only blew past 30 points for the first time this season in their most recent game, they did not stop there.

It begs the question: Was their 40-17 throttling of the Tennessee Titans a sign of things to come, an unleashing of an offense that has spent much of the season inside the barn?

“I hope so,” Ben Roethlisberger said after a rare Monday practice. “I know everyone’s talking about we feel we have potential, we’re on the verge. I agree.”

So did his center.

“I really hope so because we’ve got the talent to do it,” Maurkice Pouncey said.
