The Steelers need depth at safety and Marcus Maye is reportedly available

New York Jets head coach, Adam Game reportedly pushed hard for the organization to trade away safety Marcus Maye in 2019. A deal was never completed, but after the addition of Ashtyn Davis the Jets might again be taking phone calls on the Florida alum.

Entering the final year of his entry deal, Maye would only cost the Steelers a very manageable $1,358,730. He would also immediately bolster the Steelers safety depth chart and allow the team to play with 3 safeties on the field at a time.

Currently the Steelers safety depth chart is quite sparse.
