‘That’s Why We Were So Excited To Get Him’: Asante Samuel Jr. Earns High Praise For First Start In Pittsburgh

The Pittsburgh Steelers stopped the red-hot Miami Dolphins in their tracks in Week 15. The Dolphins had won their previous four games, looking like they were turning a corner. However, the Steelers shut them down in a 28-15 win. Things were close in the first half, though. The Dolphins had a few opportunities to capture momentum. One of those instances was snuffed out by Asante Samuel Jr., who picked off Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in the first quarter. Week 15 was Samuel’s first start in Pittsburgh, and Mike Tomlin was pleased with it.

“I’m not surprised by what I see from that young man,” Tomlin said after the Steelers improved to 8-6 via team’s YouTube channel.
