‘That’s My Guy’: Penn State’s Theo Johnson Appreciative Of Pat Freiermuth’s Guidance, Hopes To Play With Him Again

College programs are like one big giant family. Once you’re there, you’re part of a brotherhood.

That’s largely the case at Penn State.

For tight end Theo Johnson, who is in Indianapolis at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine and on the cusp of reaching the NFL, being part of that brotherhood and being able to lean on past players that have gone through the same experience as him as been huge in his development.

That includes current Pittsburgh Steelers’ tight end Pat Freiermuth.

Speaking to reporters Thursday in Indianapolis, Johnson stated that he’s been talking with Freiermuth a lot recently, and says that that two are good friends and hope to play together one day.
