Defensive end Stephon Tuitt said he will return to practice Thursday for the first time since he injured his left biceps on the second play of the season, increasing the possibility he could play Sunday in Chicago.
Tuitt said on his weekly radio show Tuesday night he would know by Friday if he's able to play against the Bears.
Tuitt has been regaining the strength in his arm since he felt it go “absolutely numb” while tackling Browns running back Isaiah Crowell for a 9-yard loss on the second play from scrimmage. The Steelers initially feared Tuitt might have sustained a torn biceps tendon that could have possibly ended his season.
