The Pittsburgh Steelers announced one roster move on Friday as defensive end Clifton Geathers was waived injured and defensive lineman Joe Okafor was signed to take his place on the 90-man roster.
Geathers signed with the Steelers late last season after veteran Brett Keisel was lost for the season with triceps injury. After signing with the team, Geathers didnt dress in any of the games the remainder of the season, however. There is no word as to what the nature of Geather’s injury is and head coach Mike Tomlin didn’t mention him Friday during his press conference.
