Steelers Vs. Patriots: Player Snap Counts – Week 1

The Pittsburgh Steelers dropped their 2015 regular season opener Thursday night to the New England Patriots and the player snap counts from the game tell quite and interesting story.

As we already pointed out this morning, cornerback Brandon Boykin failed to see the field on defense Thursday night for the Steelers. This would be fine had all of their cornerbacks played well, but that certainly wasn’t the case. Not one snap.

Surprising, rookie outside linebacker Bud Dupree saw the field quite a bit in his NFL debut. The first-round draft pick played 26 snaps in the game and that’s a good indication that he’ll see that same kind of work on the left side moving forward as part of him platooning with Arthur Moats.
