Winners and losers from the Pittsburgh Steelers 34-12 win against the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday afternoon.
WINNERS
RB Jaylen Warren & RB Kenneth Gainwell
Praise to be. Warren exited with an ankle injury (he tried returning for one snap but bowed out) but ran hard until then. A 35-yard zig-zag through the Bengals’ defense that included an Antonio Brown-like “hurdles, kicks a man!” moment was his biggest play of the day. Warren is effective on those toss plays the Steelers love running.
While it was frustrating for Warren to still be limited on third downs and he didn’t play the final 10 snaps of the team’s final first half drive, Gainwell showed why he gets involved and has a pass game/down role.
