The Pittsburgh Steelers have tied a dubious franchise record following the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. The present-day Steelers have tied the team’s longest streak scoring no more than seven points in the opening frame of a regular season game, going their last 63 games without eclipsing a touchdown.
It ties the same streak and drought the team recorded from 1940-1047, excluding the two World War II merger years with the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Cardinals.
The last time the current day Steelers scored more than seven points in the first quarter came in the 2022 season opener.
