Steelers swap wide receivers on their practice squad

The Pittsburgh Steelers swapped practice squad wide receivers with a roster move on Monday as they released Amara Darboh and signed Anthony Johnson.

Anthony Johnson was signed by the Steelers to a futures contract this past offseason and spent training camp with Steelers until he suffered a leg injuy. Johnson was undrafted out of the University of Buffalo where in two seasons he had 25 touchdown receptions. Signed initially by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Johnson did not make the 53-man roster and spend time on the practice squad of the Los Angeles Chargers.
