Reasoning: With the emergence of Adam Thielen and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Roman Wilson is quickly fading to the backburner, it seems. It’s not clear if the Steelers even intend to dress him, assuming their plans remain with the veteran wide receivers. Although he made some mistakes here and there, Wilson was clearly trending upward.
While Roman Wilson sat on the bench, Adam Thielen caught one pass for four yards, Marquez Valdes-Scantling caught none, and Scotty Miller played three snaps. I’m sure he wasn’t thrilled about it, but he doesn’t make the decisions.
