Reasoning: Brandin Echols has had maybe one bad game all season, and last Sunday’s victory in Baltimore wasn’t one of them. A somewhat under-the-radar signing, he has proven to be key to the Steelers’ season. Particularly from the perspective of alternative plans failing, he has stepped up when they needed him.
Once the Steelers trade for Jalen Ramsey, Brandin Echols may as well not have existed as far as defense goes. With Ramsey, Pittsburgh had a trio of cornerbacks it believed could lock up any offense.
