As expected, the Pittsburgh Steelers made a transaction on Saturday and included them signing a wide receiver off of their practice squad.
Signed to the 53-man roster on Saturday was wide receiver Cobi Hamilton, who has been on the team’s practice squad all season. To make room for Hamilton on the roster, cornerback Al-Hajj Shabazz was waived.
Hamilton, who signed originally with the Steelers just after training camp started this year, caught 8 passes for 84 yards in the four preseason games that he played in. He was originally drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the sixth-round of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Arkansas.
