Steelers Sign RB Knile Davis

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they’ve signed former Chiefs RB Knile Davis to a contract on Monday.

Davis, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2013. He’s in the final year if his four-year, $2.751 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season.

The Chiefs traded Davis to the Packers in recent weeks for a conditional 2018 seventh-round draft pick. However, Green Bay elected to cut him loose a few weeks later.

The Jets later claimed him off of waivers but they did so as a contingency option in the event they couldn’t get a deal finalized with C.
