The Steelers today came to terms on a one-year contract with inside linebacker Steven Johnson, who has played for Denver and Tennessee over the past four years.
Johnson adds depth at inside linebacker, where the Steelers lost two backups, Sean Spence and Terence Garvin, as free agents recently.
Johnson played in all 16 games for the Tennessee Titans last season, but started none. He signed with Denver in 2012 as an undrafted rookie from Kansas and played for the Broncos for three seasons, starting seven games in 2014 for them.
Johnson, who turns 28 Monday, is a native of suburban Philadelphia.
