Steelers Sign DL Roy Philon To Offseason Roster

The Pittsburgh Steelers added a familiar face to their offseason roster on Monday as defensive lineman Roy Philon was signed.

Philon, who entered the league in 2014 with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville. After failing to make the Steelers 53-man roster in 2014, Philon was signed to the Chicago Bears practice squad. He also spent time on the practice squad of the Detroit Lions late in the 2014 season and they signed him to a futures contract after the season ended.

Philon was with the Lions during training camp last season but was waived prior to the start of the regular season.
